Pocket shawls are not a new or original concept. They have been around in many forms for decades and enjoy a resurgence in popularity from time to time.
The Lady D Pocket Shawl is casual, but stylish, warm, and cozy. It is also very easy to wear and goes especially well with a pair of blue jeans and some great boots.
The written pattern is supported by both right- and left-handed video tutorials.
You will not be able to complete this project unless you have purchased the written pattern. The video tutorials are supplementary to the written pattern. The video tutorials for this pattern focus on the rows needed to establish the pattern only. Links to the unlisted You-Tube videos are available in the written pattern.
The testers have given this pattern an easy rating. With the assistance of the video tutorials, I believe that advanced beginners would be able to easily complete the project, however, you would need to have basic crochet skills, as this is not a “how to crochet” project.
The pattern is available to purchase for US$4.99 through The Neave Collection and Ravelry.
The preferred 4 ply (#3) yarn used in this pattern sample is ColourSpun Pure Merino Super Wash. ColourSpun is a South African brand, which we are justifiably very proud of for the following reasons:
